Hey World, It's Me, Samantha.

I cannot believe it took me this long to finally create a blog of my own; a website with MY name as part of the URL. As a social media enthusiast and a technologically savvy individual (or at least I consider myself one), having my own blog has always been an interest of mine. Unfortunately, I am a tad bit behind in this game because I let myself constantly ask questions like "why would anyone want to read a blog that just talks about me?" and "when will I ever have time to blog?" But to be quite honest, I realized that this is a great chance for me to grow personally and professionally, and the satisfaction I will gain from this experience is reason enough for me.

So here I am, 4 years later, finally deciding to publish the beginning of my adventure into the unforgiving and harsh reality better known as the "Real World." Since graduation day May 15, 2009, I have been overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety, confusion, sadness, separation, helplessness, maturity, and most recently pure exhaustion. (Now I know why my Dad hates talking on the phone, needs at least 5 minutes of space before anyone can talk to him once arriving home from work, and why his 9 pm bedtime can never come soon enough) The combination of my loss of control and loss of identity continue to freak me out, but I have to get past them and focus on taking the next step. So far growing up has not been easy, but I look forward to sharing every experience, good and bad, on a site I can call "my own." So, HERE IT GOES!
